It’s back to school time and whether it’s your first semester or last, we’ve got some tips for you to make this year the best yet!
Get yourself a planner or calendar and actually look at it! It’s easier to remember things when we write them down and it will help you to stay organized when you have assignments due or events to attend. Jot down everything on your syllabi to remind yourself when exams are so you can stay ahead of the game.
Make a friend in every class
Take the first week of school to look around your classes and find someone who you could connect with. It’s always nice to know someone who can help with questions if you miss a class or need assistance with homework or projects.
Take some time to explore the clubs or organizations that interest you. It could be Greek life, something in your college of study, a fitness class, and more! Chances are if you like to do something, so do other people and there’s probably a group for it. Check out the student life office to see what best suits you!
Get your Z’s
You have a lot going on! From classes to your social life, you are involved in all sorts of activities. In order to keep your energy up, you need to get your rest. Everyone is different but the recommended amount of sleep for college students is 7-9 hours.
Keep stress under control
Between class, extracurricular activities, relationships, and jobs, sometimes things just don’t go your way and life seems stressful. Don’t forget to take care of yourself! Take advantage of free classes at the rec center, such as yoga or Zumba, splurge and buy a fancy facemask, walk downtown for some
beautiful sites, or blare your favorite tunes and dance it out. Find something that makes you happy and do it!
