Plan Your Summer Stay-cation with These Local Destinations:
Edgewater is Cleveland Metroparks westernmost park in the Metropark Lakefront Reservation. The park features 9,000 feet of shoreline, dog and swim beaches, boat ramps, fishing pier, picnic area, and a rentable pavilion.
On Thursday nights, Edgewater LIVE will kick off starting May 30th at 4:30 p.m. on the Centennial Plaza at Edgewater Beach House with the region’s favorite headlining acts performing on the Dollar Bank Stage from 6 to 9 p.m.
Visitors can grab a bite to eat from a rotating lineup of more than a dozen local food trucks each week and enjoy happy hour and local made-to-order fare from the Beach House, featuring spectacular views of Lake Erie and Cleveland’s skyline.
Everyone knows Cedar Point! Located in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point is only an hour drive from downtown Cleveland. Having close access to “America’s Roller Coast” is an advantage most people do not have! With Steel Vengeance being voted “Best New Ride of 2018” and classics like Millennium Force and the Magnum, every thrill seeker would be satisfied!
Right now, unlimited visits for May and June are only $59.99. Want a regular season pass? Only $146, which you can break up into payments if you wish.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo:
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is 183 acres and right in our back yard. Founded in 1882, it’s one of Cleveland’s most popular year-round attractions, but is obviously more fun to go to in the summer! Divided into several areas, Australian Adventure, African Savanna, and Northern Wilderness Trek, to name a few, it also has one of the largest collections of
primates in North America. Ticket prices are $16.95 for adults and right now you can save $2 if you purchase tickets online.
